Drag racing at GT-R Festival and Nismo Meet is designed to be inclusive for cars of all levels of modification, from stock to 5-second Pro Mods.

The event caters to all racers, from serious competitors to those who are just racing for fun.

The categories have been determined to ensure similar cars are racing each other.

CATEGORIES

OPEN LANE CATEGORIES

These categories can line up and race at all times lanes are open, except during scheduled Headline Category sessions.

STOCK TURBO CLASS

For Skyline GT-Rs running stock turbochargers.

TWIN LOW MOUNT CLASS

For Skyline GT-Rs with aftermarket twin turbochargers in the factory position.

SINGLE TURBO CLASS

For Skyline GT-Rs with a single 64mm in compressor size or less.

R35 STOCK TURBO CLASS

For R35 GT-Rs using stock turbochargers.

Nissan Street Car Class

For road-registered Nissan vehicles slower than 10.0.

Trophies for the quickest S-Chassis, R-Chassis, Z-Chassis, and Outright.

Nissan Open Class

For circuit, time attack, and drift cars that don’t meet the above criteria and want to run for fun over the weekend.


HEADLINE CATEGORIES

The following categories only run at pre-determined Headline Category Session times on the schedule, so the crowd can come and watch when the headline cars are on the track:

GT-R True Street RH9 Class

For Skyline GT-R street cars that run 9.99 or quicker.

GT-R Super Street CLASS

For GT-Rs that can be a street car during the week and a race car on the weekend.

GT-R Pro Street CLASS

For the world’s quickest Skyline GT-Rs.

Nissan Quick Street CLASS

For road-registered Nissans running 9.99 or quicker.

Nissan Race CLASS

For dedicated Nissan drag cars or cars with a Nissan powerplant.

Imposter Street CLASS

For street cars that run 8.99 or quicker, by invitation only.

Imposter Race CLASS

For dedicated drag cars, by invitation only.

DCT Street Class

For R35 GT-R and other street cars running a DCT transmission 9.99 or quicker.

DCT Extreme CLASS

For R35s and other DCT equipped cars pushing the boundaries of performance.

DRAG RACING ENTRY TYPES

STREET CAR ENTRY

Drive in, race, drive home.

Street Car Entry is for those who don't need a pit set-up or support vehicle in the pit area. You can still trailer your car to the event, just park your trailer and support vehicle in the trailer parking area.

COMPETITION CAR ENTRY

A Competition drag racing entry is for cars that need a large pit area and support vehicle at the event.

Competition Car Entry includes a dedicated pit bay with room for a marquee or truck and a support vehicle pass.
